May Prophetic Word: Divine Alignment for Your Next Assignment
Have you been feeling delayed? Do you feel hidden right now?
You are exhausted. You pray for a breakthrough, but you only look around and see chaos. Hear me clearly today. If you felt delayed in this season, it is your fault. It is no longer your situation.
If you feel hidden, it's your fault, not your situation.
I walked into church ready to preach a safe, well-prepared sermon on the book of Acts. I studied. I had my notes. But God stopped me. He said, "No, prophesy." So I prophesied. God is divinely preparing you for a massive transition right now.
Divine Alignment for Your New Assignment
God is actively disrupting your old teams. He is ripping up your familiar playbook. He is breaking apart old alignments to form new teams for new assignments.
Get ready. God will bring new people into your life. They will think differently than you. They might have a different skin color or speak a different first language. Do not let your old wounds of rejection cancel out this new alignment. Do not let denominational pride ruin what God is building.
Write this down. The people that God is going to bring to you do not align with your preference, they align with your purpose.
The package might offend you. The package might look exactly like the person who hurt you in your past. But the contents hold exactly what you prayed for. By the Spirit, you share an assignment.
Look at Abraham in Genesis 14. He carried an incredible promise. But he connected himself to Lot. They had alignment for a season, but eventually, the land could not hold both of them. When you hitch yourself to a taker—the right person in the wrong season—God holds back His blessing. Why? Because the person you connected with cannot contain the blessing. Abraham released Lot, and then God released the blessing.
You cannot hitch your purpose to a taker and expect God’s blessing.
The Biblical Rhythm of Fighting and Filling
The early church in the book of Acts followed a clear pattern. You must mirror it today. You follow a rhythm of fighting and filling.
You go into a fight. God hands you a victory. Then you retreat to a stronghold for divine refilling. You receive a fresh filling of the Holy Spirit. Then you march back into a new fight, win a new victory, and return to refill again.
Your fighting is deeply connected to your filling.
If you refuse to stand under the glory spout, you will march into your next battle completely confused.
Everything God promised you sits on the other side of a threshold. Boundaries must be enforced. I have a threshold at my house called the front door. It is enforced by me and my savage dog named Star. If you get past Star, with all the licking and panting, you still have to face me.
Why are you respecting Satan's boundaries? Jesus conquered death on the cross, but He handed you a badge and a gun. You represent the law enforcement of the kingdom. You must put on the full armor of God detailed in Ephesians. You must cross the boundary and bind the strong man before you can plunder his house.
We have too many weak Christians today. You sit around waiting for God to move. God already gave you the authority to loose the blessing of heaven. You know exactly how to loose a Zoloft or Prozac pill down your throat. Now learn how to loose a promise God already gave you!
Tell Your Weak Flesh to Shut Up
Your spirit is willing. Your flesh is incredibly weak. Stop letting your flesh dictate your destiny.
Your flesh says, "I don't want to deny my lust." Tell your flesh to shut up. Your flesh says, "I like the comfort of my depression." Tell your flesh to shut up. Your flesh says, "I can scroll social media without getting jealous." Tell your flesh to shut up.
This requires brutal discipline. Look at Acts 1:14. The early church did not gather casually. They devoted themselves to prayer together. All of them. In one accord.
Parents, I am calling you out right now. You let an NYPD officer show up at your house to enforce public school attendance. You let the system indoctrinate your kids with sinister, evil garbage. But you refuse to act as the officer in your own home. You refuse to wake your kids up and make them go to church to get something that will actually benefit them in the afterlife.
Take the iPad out of their room. Shut off the Wi-Fi. Make them serve the Lord. You create peace through war. Evil never stops on its own. Fight for your home.
Unity is created through war, not received in passivity.
Break Demonic Chains and Break Bread
You want the mighty rushing wind of Pentecost to fill your house? Follow the biblical formula. You must come together.
Some churches only want to break chains. They break curses and cast out demons. But they never break bread. Let me quote Mike Signorelli one more time for you: "If you have a church that only breaks chains... but doesn't break bread, then they go from fighting demons to fighting each other."
On the other hand, if you only break bread and never cast out demons, you run a country club. God will judge your passivity and lethargy. You need both. Go from fighting to filling.
I get it. I serve as the president of Severely Socially Awkward Introverts Anonymous. I try to cancel plans all day long. I sit in my car in the parking lot wishing I stayed home. But thirty minutes into breaking bread with someone, I laugh and have the best time of my life.
Stop dialing 911 only when you hit an emergency. Build real relationships.
God is growing you out of your emergency mindset and into spiritual maturity.
Step Into Your Second Chance
On the Jewish calendar, May 1st marks the Second Passover. God built a provision for anyone who missed the first Passover because they were sick, locked in prison, or debilitated. God physically built a second chance into the calendar.
Look at Genesis 14 again. After Abraham won a massive military victory, a mysterious priest named Melchizedek met him. What did he bring? Bread and wine. He fought, and then he was filled. Abraham gave a tenth of everything because he recognized divine sovereignty won the battle.
I don't care what you missed in your last season. Hear the word of the Lord: "I am the God of second chances." God is giving you a second wind.
Stop making excuses. Stop blaming your circumstances. Step up to the line. Take your promised land by force. Bind the spirit of depression. Break the demonic chains of your past. Step into the divine alignment God placed right in front of you. Advance.
