Freedom from Narcissism and Jezebel’s Influence

The enemy isn’t just hiding behind pornography, addiction, or rebellion. Sometimes, he’s cloaked in charm, charisma, and influence, even in the church. But make no mistake—Jezebel is still slithering, and narcissism is her venom. According to Apostle Mike Signorelli in his series “Battle Ready,” we are not in times of peace; rather, we are in full-blown spiritual warfare. And because of that, the minister said he is willing to say some things that are going to “offend” people “all the way to Heaven, instead of people-pleasing” them “all the way to Hell.”

Sadly, there are far too many believers asleep in Jezebel's lap, like Samson was in Delilah’s arms—powerful but passive, anointed but asleep, chosen but compromised. It’s time for the body of Christ to wake up.

The Jezebel Spirit

It is important to make something clear concerning Jezebel. Jezebel isn’t a gender—it’s a spirit.

Mentioned over 20 times in Scripture, Jezebel first appears in 1 Kings, but resurfaces again in Revelation 2—not just as a historical figure, but as a prophetic one.

“I have this against you: you tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess and teaches and seduces my servants…” Revelation 2:20

The Jezebel spirit is not some outdated footnote from the Old Testament—it’s a demonic force actively infiltrating churches, marriages, leadership, and even your own heart if you're not vigilant.

The Jezebel Spirit has three core traits. Firstly, it rejects authority and self proclaims power. Jezebel “calls herself a prophetess.” Nobody sent her—she sent herself. She refuses to come under authority, refuses accountability, and demands influence without submission. If you meet someone who says they’re “above correction, it would be wise to avoid them at all cost and pray for them.

“Every pastor should have a pastor. Every prophet should have a covering,” Apostle Mike encouraged. Independence might sound like strength, but isolation is Jezebel’s playground. She hates order and divine alignment because she can’t control what she can’t corrupt.

Secondly, she is unteachable and divisive. James 1:19 says to be quick to listen, slow to speak. Jezebel flips it. She posts before she prays, teaches what she hasn’t lived and divides what God unifies.

Apostle Mike preached, Jezebel doesn’t just want to steal sheep—she wants to make them wander aimlessly until they starve. “The Jezebel spirit will pull you out of community and isolate you so you can be devoured,” he noted.

Lastly, the spirit leads through seduction, not servanthood. The Greek word for "seduce" in Revelation 2:20 literally means to make someone roam aimlessly—to lead them away from safety, truth, and purpose. For many, they don’t realize they’ve been devoured until their discernment is gone and their heart is numb.

Narcissism and Jezebel are Twin Flames. The spirit of Jezebel rarely travels alone—it often comes hand-in-hand with narcissism.

Jezebel is an overt narcissist. She’s loud, she’s right, she’s always the victim or the hero—never the villain. She doesn’t just want admiration; she feeds on it. And if you won’t give it freely, she’ll manipulate it out of you.

Many people often think Ahab was under Jezebel's control, but Ahab was a covert narcissist. He played the “poor me” card. People operating in that spirit are so “sad” that you feel guilty for being joyful around them. In 1 Kings 21, Ahab didn’t kill Naboth—he just sulked. Jezebel did the dirty work that he silently craved. This codependency is deadly. Jezebel executes what Ahab incubates and you can’t be free from Jezebel if you still harbor the bitter root in your own soul that agrees with her.

The Narcissist’s Arsenal

  • Blame-shifting – You’re always the problem.

  • Excessive criticism – They tear you down to hide their own weakness.

  • Emotional isolation – They cut you off from community, making you doubt your worth.

  • Spiritual manipulation – They’ll use Scripture to shame you into silence.

Even your body pays the price—anxiety, digestive issues, tension in your shoulders, and chronic fatigue. These are often physical manifestations of the spirit of infirmity linked to narcissistic abuse.

If you think you are a narcissist. The hard truth is you might be. Apostle Mike confessed he was also once in pride, control and obsessed with influence. It can all look like “leadership” but it’s a counterfeit.

You’re not disqualified because you struggled—but you will stay bound, however, if you refuse to repent of it. We should not pray for Jezebel to be exposed in someone else, if we won’t confront her in ourselves.

So How Do We Break Free?

1. Repent

The Jezebel spirit won’t leave through self-help. It only flees when you confess your pride and surrender your throne.

Pray this:

“God, search my heart. Break every agreement I made with pride, control, manipulation, fear, insecurity, or rebellion. I renounce Jezebel and every spirit that partners with her. Fill me, Holy Spirit. Restore my mind, my peace, my heart. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

2. Renounce

Cut every soul tie. Unplug every emotional umbilical cord to past leaders, relationships, or churches where you were controlled or controlling.

You can’t get freedom from what you’re still feeding.

3. Rebuild

Don’t just be delivered—be discipled.

Join a church. Sit under leadership. Submit to God’s Word. Honor authority. Love correction. Walk humbly. Stay accountable.

“You know a real church not by how they treat you when you come… but how they treat you when you leave,” Apostle Mike shared.

This isn’t just a spiritual issue—it’s a generational curse. If you tolerate Jezebel, your children will inherit her chains. If you let narcissism reign, your house will crumble under ego but if you humble yourself, God will rebuild what pride tried to destroy.

We were made to walk in truth, authority, humility, and power. Jesus Christ has already broken Jezebel’s power. He’s already conquered narcissism. Now it’s our turn to walk out the victory that He’s given to us!
