Hell Is Real but Jesus Is Alive

Apostle Mike Signorelli delivered a message on Easter Sunday meant to shake the foundations of casual Christianity. He focused on the shift needed from simply knowing about God to knowing God intimately.

In a world filled with influencers, podcasters, and cultural voices suddenly acknowledging Jesus — from Joe Rogan’s conversations with biblical scholars to Jordan Peterson’s reflections on Christ's divinity — we’ve reached a cultural tipping point. We no longer need proof that Jesus is real; however , we do need to have real faith in Him.

“We don’t need more proof. We need more belief,” Apostle Mike encouraged.

There is an undeniable revival happening as the name of Jesus is echoing all throughout social media airwaves. But the real question is do people who claim to be Christian really know Him?

Knowing about God Isn’t Enough

This generation knows more about God than ever before because of how much access the world has to information. Yet intimacy with Him is at an all-time low. In a culture of Google and AI we must be reminded that head knowledge cannot replace heart transformation.

“On judgment day, it won’t matter how many verses you memorized if you never knew the One who wrote them,” The V1 church leader declared.

Revelation 20:12 speaks of a day when the books of our lives will be opened. Not edited. Not filtered. The raw, uncut story of our choices, actions, and allegiances will be revealed. As believers we must ask ourselves “Is my name found in the Lamb’s Book of Life?”

The Lamb's Book of Life, as described in the Bible, represents the book that keeps record of all those who have been saved through Jesus Christ and will inherit eternal life.

2 Corinthians 3:2-3 says our lives are letters being written — day by day, decision by decision. The harsh reality is that we do not get to rewrite our story on judgment day. We all have chapters we wish no one could read. But the blood of Jesus doesn’t just edit the story, it erases the shame and writes a new ending. Apostle Mike said the only question is: “Who’s holding the pen? You or Jesus?”

The Reality of Hell

In a culture that has sanitized hell out of sermons, Apostle Mike said that is the issue all together. Revelation 20:15 speaks plainly: “anyone whose name was not found written in the Book of Life was thrown into the lake of fire.”

Hell wasn’t made for people. It was created for Satan and his fallen angels. But people choose it when they reject the grace of God. Many call themselves Christians, yet live unchanged lives. That is because they have never been told about the eternal consequences of sin. The gospel isn’t just about heaven it is a rescue from hell!

The good news is there is a way to escape eternal damnation and that is through repentance. Acts 3:19 clearly gives the only path forward: “Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out.”

To repent is to turn. To shift. To align your actions with God's will. It's more than saying "sorry" it is becoming what Apostle Mike calls “a breaker.” A breaker is someone who breaks generational curses, cycles of addiction, toxic habits, and spiritual apathy.

When a Christian gets saved, we don’t just become a better version of ourselves. We become a citizen of the Kingdom. In His Kingdom, everything changes—your purpose, your family, your identity, and your eternity.

Jesus Is the resurrection and the life. John 11:25 declares, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.” There is no life apart from Jesus. There is no resurrection without surrender. We cannot earn salvation or manipulate our way into the Lamb’s Book of Life.

“No one’s name is written in that book unless the Lamb writes it in His blood,” the minister noted. “I’m not a Christian because I follow rules. I’m a Christian because I had an encounter with the Holy Ghost.”

Will You Rise with Jesus?

There must be a call to war inside of every believer. Satan is fighting for our souls but Jesus has already secured the victory. Our part is to choose Him today and scripture encourages in Joshua 24: “Choose this day whom you will serve.”

Although the road is narrow and the path is hard, we can rejoice in knowing there’s a life beyond here and the New Jerusalem awaits. That will be a place with no tears, no disease, no suffering, only the eternal presence of the God who loves us enough to die for us.

Eternity is not decided by how much you know about Jesus, but whether you’ve let Him write your name in His book. If you’ve never made that decision, pray this prayer below:

“Jesus, I repent. I surrender my life to You. Write my name in Your Book. I believe You are alive, and You are Lord. Fill me with Your Spirit and lead me in Your ways. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
